Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Rohan, an individual developer based in India ("we", "us" or "our"), for your use of the Plaryface Detective mobile app (the "App"). By using the App you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use the App

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.

2. What the App does — and doesn't

The App analyses a photo of your face on your device and gives you style and grooming insights: face shape, scores, skin, eyes, hair, beard or brows, and suggested styles and routines.

For style guidance only. Scores and results are automated estimates. They can be affected by lighting, camera quality, angle and expression, and they are not a judgement of your worth or attractiveness. The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dermatological or health advice. For any skin or health concern, see a qualified professional.

3. Using the App properly

You agree to:

• scan only your own face, or someone else's only with their permission;
• not use the App to harass, shame or discriminate against anyone;
• not copy, reverse engineer, resell or misuse the App, except as the law allows.

4. Premium subscriptions

Some features (the full report, personalized plan and full style details) need a Premium subscription.

• Prices are shown in your local currency in the App before you buy and may include taxes. The price shown by Google Play or the App Store at checkout is the one that applies.
• There is no free trial. Your subscription starts, and you're charged, when you confirm the purchase.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancelling: manage or cancel any time in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings (also reachable from Profile → Manage subscription). You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their policies. We can't issue refunds directly.
• If a price changes, the store will tell you in advance, as its rules require.

5. Your content

Your photos and results stay on your device and remain yours. We don't receive them and claim no rights over them. You're responsible for keeping or deleting them (see our Privacy Policy).

6. Our App

The App, its design, text, illustrations (including the detective character) and style images belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your devices under these Terms.

7. Changes and availability

We may update, change or stop features of the App. If we make important changes to these Terms, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the new Terms.

8. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be error-free, always available, or that any result is accurate or suitable for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the App's results. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be limited.

10. Ending these Terms

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it (and cancelling any subscription in your store settings). We may suspend access if you seriously break these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you live elsewhere, you may also have rights under your local consumer laws.
